Dressage at Busselton
Busselton Horse and Pony Club strives to provide top level competition in the South West, providing opportunities for not only our members but other riders within the region to compete locally.
We have two lovely grassed arenas that we hold our dressage competitions on, inviting local and metropolitan judges to officiate at our events.
We run competitions for EA Competitive and Participant riders as well as Pony Club WA classes with many of our events part of the Pony Club WA Dressage Leaderboard Competition.
Event Dates are:
November 6 & 7 for the Sharyne Alberts Memorial Championship event
2021 Busselton Dressage Serie Competition
Riders who compete at our evnts will accumulate points towards an overall 2021 Dressage Champion and Reserve Dresage Champion in Competitve, Participant, PCWA and PCWA Open.
Championship points will be accumulated over the series dates to arrive at the Champion and Reserves.
The horse/rider combination with the highest number of points after the 4 events at the same level will be Chamion. Riders are only able to accumulate points from two tests each day i.e. Novice 2A and Novice 2B, if you ride as a Participant and Pony Club rider in two of the same tests (eg 2A) the first test ridden will be the one used for the points.
Championships will only be awarded where there have been at least 3 completed tests in that competition level at three of the four events.
Champions will be awarded a rug and rosette, Reserve Champions will be awarded a prize and rosette.
Presentations will take place on Sundy 7th November at the Sharyne Alberts Memorial Dressage competition.
Sharyne Alberts Memorial Dressage Championship
6th and 7th November 2021
This event is in memory of our lovely club member Sharyne who sadly lost her battle with bowel cancer in November 2017.
Sharyne was an enthusiastic member of our club, a great lover of dressage and was the first to put her hand up to help when ever and where ever needed.
Sharyne loved to watch the pony club kids strive and achieve new goals and was the first to praise anyone on a job well done.
As a event co-ordinator I knew I could always count on Sharyne to step into any job that needed to be done, regardless of what it was.
We come together to remember Sharyne at our October event as, for many of us, at this very dressage event in 2017 it would be the last time that we would see Sharyne.
Always in our hearts and thoughts especially at dressage events.
